Franco P. Marquicias was a Filipino Basketball player who was a member of the Philippine team in the 1936 Summer Olympics hosted by Berlin, where the team placed 11th. This is the highest achievement of the country so far in the Olympiad. Marquicias was one of the best known Filipino cagers ever developed, being named national player several times.

He was also a member of the 1927 Philippine quintet which snagged the Far Eastern Olympic Championship in Shanghai and the 1934 Philippine team that copped the Olympic championship in Manila.

His later years saw him as a playing coach for Heacock and a mentor to his team with a worthy runner-up finish in the MICAA tournament. During the ceremonies in the 1976 Montreal Olympics, Marquicias became a recipient of a citation award by the International Federation of Amateur Basketball.
