Edgardo Fulgencio was a basketball player who competed in the 1948 Summer Olympics in London. He started his career at the age of 16 when he joined the basketball team of the Jose Rizal College.

At 24, he was recruited in the Manila Flatties team, the strongest basketball team in Manila during the Japanese occupation. After his stint in the 1948 Olympics, Fulgencio joined the Far Eastern University Tamaraws in 1950 and announced his retirement two years later.
