Mariano Velez Jr. was a boxer who competed in the men's welterweight event at the 1948 Summer Olympics in London, United Kingdom. He was the first Olympian from Cagayan de Oro City. He lost to Clifford Blackburn of Canada in the first round, failing to advance to the second round.
