After his experience in the Olympics, Saldana continued to shine in the 1954 FIBA (Federation Internationale Basketball Amateur) World Championship held in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil where the team won a bronze medal with an amazing finish by an Asian nation in the FIBA history.
