Alberto Adela was a bantamweight boxer who competed in the 1956 Olympics in Melbourne, Australia as one of the five pugilists representing the Philippines.
Fighting in the round of 32, Adela lost on points to South Korean Song Sun Cheon who later won via the same fashion over the hometown favorite Bobby Bath of Australia, then over Claudio Barrientos of Chile, before finally bowing on points to Wolfgang Behrendt of Germany in the fight for gold.
