Pedro Landero was a weightlifter who competed in the bantamweight division at the 1952 Summer Olympics and the 1956 Summer Olympics. At the age of 38, he placed 6th in the final rankings with 292.5 kilos. He competed again in the same event at the 1958 Summer Olympic Games.
