Manfredo Alipala was a welterweight boxer who competed at the 1964 Summer Olympics in Tokyo before turning professional.
At the 1964 Games, he defeated Al-Kharki Khalid of Iraq in the eliminations, but bowed to local hero Kichijiro Hamada whom he beat for the gold medal in the Asian Games in Jakarta, Indonesia two years earlier.
In 1965, Alipala turned professional and immediately scored victories against local opponents at the Araneta Coliseum. He went on to fight in Japan and Korea against Orient Pacific Boxing Federation champions but failed in most of them. He retired in 1970 with a 3-8 win-loss pro record.
