Tony Asamali was a former swimmer who competed in seven events at the 1968 Summer Olympics.
He was born in Jolo, a volcanic island in the southwest Philippines. At age 21, he competed in his first and only Olympic games in the 200m backstroke, 200 m freestyle, 200 m medley, 400 m freestyle, 4x100 m freestyle, 4x100 m medley and 4x200 m freestyle events.
His last result was 16th place for the men's 4x100 m medley - heat during the Olympic Games 1968.
