Ruben Mares was a boxer who represented the Philippines in the men’s featherweight event for the boxing program in the 1976 Summer Olympics hosted by Montreal, Canada. The competition was attended by 26 boxers from 26 nations and was held from 18 to 31 of July 1976. He competed and lost against Richard Nowakowski of East Germany.
