Arturo del Rosario was a weightlifter who competed as a bantamweight at the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich, Germany, and the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal, Canada. At the age of 19, he competed in his first Olympic Games. He placed 18th out of 24 participants overall with 302.5 kg. At the 1976 Games, he placed 13th out of 24 participants overall with 222.5 kg. He is the son of three-time Olympian Rodrigo del Rosario Sr. and the cousin of Salvador del Rosario who is also a three-time Olympian. Both are also weightlifters.
