Born in Romblon, Elma Muros was the Philippine representative in the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles and in the 1996 Summer Olympics hosted in Atlanta, Georgia. Muros was a participant in the athletics program under the long jump event.
She bagged the long jump bronze in the 1994 Games, and the 400 meters hurdles bronze in her 1990 stint. Muros also won a total of 15 gold medals in the Southeast Asian Games and she also joined the World Championships in Athletics.
