Marie-Lizza Toinette Danila was a swimmer who specialized in backstroke events. At 17 years old, she represented the Philippines at the 2000 Summer Olympics.
Danila competed only in the women's 100 m backstroke at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney and placed 37th out of 46 participants. She placed first in heat one of the first round, clocking 1:06.48 but did not qualify for the semifinals. At the Southeast Asian Games, she has collected a total of six silver medals (1999, 2001, and 2003) before her retirement in 2005. She was also a top 8 finalist at the 2002 Asian Games in Busan, South Korea.
