Zion Rose Nelson is an overseas-based Filipino athlete who competed in the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics.
At 16, she gained her first international experience when she competed in the Mixed Youth 8 ×100 m Relay and girls 400 m event in the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics. Nelson finished fourth in the B final of the 400 meters event with a record of 55.32. She was a former Senior and Junior Filipino 400m record holder (54.18) and the 2nd fastest athlete of all time in the women’s 200m.
In 2019, she set a new national record for 200m in the West Preliminary NCAA Finals in Sacramento, California with a mark of 23.16 s, surpassing Lydia De Vega’s 23.35 mark.
